Dr. Emilio Hernandez was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Miami. He was awarded his dental degree from the University of Kentucky, where he contributed to dental implantresearch, and received the Clinical Achievement Award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry. He then practiced as a general dentist and was a full-time clinical faculty member for the New York University residency programs in Hawaii for several years before pursuing his orthodontic dental specialty training. He completed his three-year specialty training at Nova Southeasternn University, earning a dental specialty certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and successfully received his Master of Science degree in Dentistry.

In his free time, Dr. Hernandez enjoys hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and tending to his two French Bulldogs, Colette and Clementine.
